About Christoph the Master Whitesmith:

Christoph was born in 1963 in Vienna, Austria. He grew up in a traditional home with the common Austrian needs of fine food, fine art, and fine living.

Spending most of his leasure time in Venice, Italy since the late 1960's, Venice became like a second home. Venice inspired Christoph's creativity by allowing him to express his style of art in brasswork. He started his career as a whitesmith with Bakalowits & Sons, a world renowned chandelier manufacturer in Vienna dating back to the old Austrian monarchy.

Armed with the knowledge of an almost extinct profession of a whitesmith, Christoph moved to America in 1983 and ended up in Hawaii in 1985. Having started a family and not being able to locate the tools and brass needed to create his art, Christoph had to step out of his passion and went to work for the main industry of Hawaii, tourism.

It was not until 20 years later when Christoph took a trip to Europe did he return to Hawaii with the tools and brass he needed to jump right back into his passion of a master whitesmith creating his fine pieces of art.

The way of creating the frames you see on this website allows them to be called absolutely unique. You will not find a product comparable in quality and style.
